IMCoP Handbook

This handbook was developed as a companion resource for insider mediators, an accessible toolkit that centers well-being in mediation practice and offers stories, reflection prompts, and practical tools. The handbook was drafted and designed to translate IMCoP insights into a resource that mediators can use independently or in groups. It is designed to be flexible, culturally grounded, and centered on lived experience, emotional truth, and care. It includes practical rituals and tools (including prevention and promotion approaches) that help mediators stay grounded, sustainable, and connected to purpose.

Out of the Dark Into the Light

"Out of the Dark Into the Light" which first shown at the Skábmogovat Indigenous Film Festival in Sami Land, Finland.

This Northern Sámi-English film centers around the truth and reconciliation processes that have been launched both among the Sámi and the indigenous peoples of Alaska. The processes between the indigenous groups differ from each other. The Alaskan process is administered by the indigenous nations themselves. They have invited such actors as the state, the provinces and territories and other players who have admitted having caused suffering to the indigenous peoples to participate in the process. The purpose of the process is to help people heal and deal with traumatic experiences and increase the understanding of the broader population with the hope of correcting the situation.
